Civil War counter/desk bell. The bell is patent dated around the top "PAT.D' AUG. 25, 1863, AUG. 8, 1856". Constructed of brass, very attractive sculpted harp body & clapper, fully functional. It stands 5" high on the original milk glass base. Very fine condition overall, the base has one corner repair to the underside, so unnoticeable.
