Original Confederate Atlanta-style rectangular dug belt plate. The front displays clear "C.S.A." lettering. This plate is referred to as the "Atlanta-style". The reverse still retains intact all 3 cast brass belt hooks, the single tongue has the very tip broken off, this was not a recent break. These hooks were often cast with air bubbles in the metal and under stress would chip, as is the case with the very tip of the tongue. The plate has a dark patina overall, with a few spots of green verdigris from ground action. These are very sought after C.S.A. buckles, here's your chance to own an original. Accompanied by L.O.A.
