Civil War excavated Confederate Infantry button, 19mm coat button. The face has a very nice look to the large ornate lined "I" which denotes infantry. Original fine "floating-style" shank. The backmark is the firm of Peter Tait, Limerick, Ireland. Nice overall condition.
