Fine early original Colt model 1849 Pocket model cased with accessories. The Colt Pocket model is an early serial #154227 matching, including wedge, 1859 manufacture. The metal overall is a smooth grey aging patina, the loading lever showing thin case color. The bore is crisply rifled with sharp edges, fine overall. 2-line N.Y. barrel address, 5" barrel. The cylinder scene on the gun is .80%. .90% tarnished silver remains on the triggerguard and backstrap. All markings are distinct and clear. No buggered screw heads. Tight mechanics. The grips are excellent with original varnish remaining. The walnut casing is fine and shows wear really only to the green felt compartments, paper label inside lid on how to load.. It contains: eagle and stars copper pistol flask, original Colts Patent marked 2-cavity brass bullet mold, wooden handle screwdriver, tin of Eley Bro. percussion caps, 2 oil bottles, cleaning rod.
This is a fine complete and attractive casing great for display.
