Scarce fine+ cased model 1860 Colt Army with accessories. French leatherette casing with rich maroon lining housing a very fine+ ,model 1860 Colt revolver with accessories. Colt is original and all matching serial #'s, #44487, manufactured early in 1862. Serial number range of the 1st Maryland Cavalry. Excellent+ condition with overall age blue-brown patina and case color with stronger blue in protected areas. Excellent grips with 2 perfect cartouches. Perfect markings and inspector's initials, very good+ light cylinder scene. Bright bore. Excellent mechanics.
Casing includes original 2-cavity .44 caliber bullet mold marked "COLT'S PATENT", "HICK'S PERCUSSION CAPS" tin, some cast round .44 caliber lead shot, original .44 caliber box of 6 cartridges, copper powder flask: one dent on each side and the spout is frozen, not original to casing.
Cased Colt Army's are quite scarce. A Colt Civil War Army with any condition are getting very hard to encounter.
