Early 4-screw Colt Model 1860 Army percussion revolver in very good condition overall. U.S. government issue, sub inspector's initials overall on metal components. Serial #22706 matching, including wedge, 1861 manufacture. Metal is a smooth dark grey aged mottled pewter patina overall. .44 cal bore is very good+ with sharp grooves, mechanics are tight. Cylinder scene is .20%. Has an original 8" barrel with clear Colt's one-line barrel address. Screws for shoulder stock attachment appear to be repros. 2-piece wood grips appear to be later replacements, although they do retain a cartouche on the left panel. Clear Colt's patent marking on left side of frame. Iron backstrap, untouched brass triggerguard, cut for shoulder stock. A classic U.S. Civil War sidearm.
