Circa early-mid 1700's superimposed double-barrel brass Flintlock pocket pistol.  On each side of the boxlock frame are military motif engravings, one side showing a drum, the other flags, very nicely engraved.  The 8" .41 caliber barrels screw off easily.  The only visible marking is a stamped "EX" on the right side of the frame behind the top barrel.  This piece is most likely English as depicted by its traits.  The grips are very nice with very fine checkering on each side, no cracks or chips.  Delicate silver wire has been inlaid on the back of the grip strap.  The pistol has the side lever on the left side of the frame to position as a safety or adjusted to direct fire each individual barrel.  Also has the sliding safety which engages with the hammer and frizzen.  The mechanical action operates fine and is fully functional.  No issues, a fine weapon and very showy.
