Pair of French percussion dueling pistols, 12.5" total length. Very fine matched pair, both pistols are in fine+ condition. Both 7 1/8" barrels in gold accent script on top flat "CANON TORDU". Barrels are octagon and flared at the muzzles. Approximately .62 caliber bores. Metal overall is an aged dove-tail grey. Case colors still visible on one hammer, both buttplates and one lockplate. Dueler adjustable trigger tension screws are both present. French-styled triggerguards. Fine checkered handles with ornate decorated stocks. One wood repair to a crack going through the barrel wedge on the backside, hardly noticeable. One hammer screw has been replaced. Mechanics are fine. Barrels are fitted with both rear and front sights. Both wooden ramrods are present. A well-made pair, the SALE price is a darn good buy at $1,100.00 per pistol of this quality.
