French Flintlock derringer-size Officer's pocket pistol. Circa 1780-90. 7" overall length. Mechanics are excellent, canon muzzle, with screw-off barrel, .38 caliber. Metal overall is a smooth dove-tail aged grey. The stock bears no cracks or chips. Has wonderful carved relief behind the barrel tang and around the triggerguard. There is a proof mark of a crown on the left side of the barrel flat near the breech. There are no issues with this gun, it has a great look.
