Colt .45 caliber single action Peacemaker revolver. Serial #164895 matching, correct un-numbered cylinder, manufactured in 1896. Colt Peacemaker revolver in very good condition overall. Metal overall is a smooth, gun metal grey mixing with age brown patina. 2-line patent dates on left side of frame very clear, Colt rampart is worn, traces still there. Top of barrel 2-line barrel address "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.", all there, but worn. 4 3/4" barrel with ".45 COLT" on left side there, but worn. The bore is very good, could use a cleaning. The mechanics are very good, original hammer. The grips are originals, correct and very worn. A classic handgun of the Old West.
