This is just a beautiful model 1873 Winchester rifle, .44-40. What makes this gun special, in addition to the overall condition, is the factory special order 30" length barrel. Serial #152131A, 1884 manufacture. Octagon barrel, special order 30", crisply rifled bright bore. Excellent, crisp barrel address. Metal overall is an untouched pleasing age grey mixing with brown patina. Mechanics are excellent. Original sights. Wood is very good+, smooth with slight age handling wear, no chips or cracks. Correct crescent-style buttplate with compartment, original dust cover. .100% correct and original '73 Winchester rifle in desirable .44-40 with extra long barrel at 30"! No need for an upgrade if you are looking for a fine model '73 Winchester.
