Winchester model 1873 rifle, .44-40 WCF. Serial #41275B, 1892 manufacture. Octagon barrel, special order 24 1/4", very good rifled bore. Very good, barrel address, second line patent dates worn. Top of barrel at breech, as well as brass block both stamped "44 CAL" (barrel breech marking worn). Metal overall is a pleasing age mottled pewter-grey patina. Mechanics are very good. Original sights. Wood is very good, smooth and dark, slight age handling wear, no chips or cracks. Correct crescent-style buttplate with compartment, original dust cover. .100% correct and original '73 Winchester rifle in desirable .44-40.
