Fine+++cased Remington O/U Derringer, .41 caliber. This derringer has the "slant line" barrel address which dates it 1894-1898.  Remington O/U derringers are seldom encountered with this much original blued finish remaining, .70% barrel blue, .30% blue in protected areas on the frame.  Screw heads, hammer and latch exhibiting original nitre blue.  Bright rifled bore.  Hinges are perfect, free of any cracks.  Original 2-piece mother-of-pearl grips in excellent condition.  Barrel is stamped #212 on the underside.  Mechanics are perfect with the firing pin moving properly.  Comes housed in its original factory casing.  Wooden case retains its original exterior lacquer finish and is in excellent condition.  Brass name plate for identification inlaid into the lid, along with quality brass ring around the keyhole.  Interior is beautiful purple velvet displaying the derringer, 8 original .41 caliber short rimfire cartridges stamped "H", and a compart for the original key.  The key turns, but the lock needs some attention.  The interior of the case is excellent as well.  The bottom front underside exhibits 2 cracks, not affecting.   Tough to upgrade this classic American derringer, the centerpiece to any collection.
