Chicago Palm pistol. Serial #2833 matching. Marked on one sideplate "CHICAGO FIRE ARMS CO., CHICAGO, ILL. and on the other side "THE PROTECTOR" with patent dates. .32 caliber extra short rimfire. Metal overall retaining most of the original nickel finish. The underside exhibiting surface pitting (see photo).
The hard rubber plates and plunger are in excellent condition overall, very good checkering, no cracks or chips. Mechanics are tight. These have always been desirable oddities. Truly a piece of Chicago history being manufactured only 20 some years after the Great Chicago Fire.
