Scarce Colt model 1851 Navy revolver cut for shoulder stock. Only a small number produced were cut for a shoulder stock. The frame is cut and has the fourth screw to attach the shoulder stock. This revolver has the long attachment screws for the shoulder stock. Also the backstrap is iron and has a notch on the bottom to engage the stock. This example is an aged-grey mottled patina. All markings are all sharp and clear. The serial #106387 is all matching, denoting an early and desirable 1861 year of manufacture. The cylinder scene is crisp at about .70% visible. The grips have a wonderful look with much of the original varnish remaining. Mechanics are tight and solid.
