Scarce Volcanic pocket model. Serial #1079, matching, left grip panel also has the carved initials inside the grip "MMG". .31 caliber. Estimated quantity 850 manufactured. Metal is a nice smooth dove-tail grey. The brass frame has a beautiful smooth untouched golden-mellow aged patina. The barrel is clearly stamped, "NEW HAVEN, CONN.(a little light) PATENT FEB. 14, 1854". Bore and mechanics are very good, mechanics are a little stiff, but work fine. Grips are very good with light age handling wear. Original magazine spring present, unbugered screws.
