Civil War Confederate clear tintype of an armed soldier. A rather large man holds his half-stock plains rifle at his side. He wears a simple southern battle shirt. Stuck in his belt you can see the grip of his pistol sticking out. The image has a wonderful southern look. It is a sixth plate size and is housed in its original leatherette case and matted. The spine of the case is fine and has had a piece of black tape added to the interior to aid in support. The closure hook is present. Some crackling to bottom surface.
