Relic Civil War model 1850 Officer's sword. With the blade broken about half way, approximately 20" overall in length remaining. Beautiful etched blade still retaining scroll and floral frosting with "U S". The brass guard is also missing about half, but again the "U S" still remaining. Brass wire on grip is gone, but all original shark-skin still present, as well as the pommel. Spine of the blade maker marked as a French import "KLINGENTHAL COULAUX & CIE". This sword is not dug, but ran into some tough times. Neat decorator.
