Civil War classic-style Confederate D-guard bowie. Measures 20.5” in total length. Clipped point blade measures 16.5" in length, 1.5” in width at the base. Retains a dark patina, with spots of light pitting. D-guard has finial end and is ornamented with rough cross marking. Wooden handle is round, with age length cracks and chips, nothing affecting. Hilt assembly and tang pommel rivet are tight. A classic characteristic Rebel Bowie. Definitely a deadly looking display piece, as intended.
