Early hallmarked silver fruit knife. Just shy of 3" closed, 5" when open. Handle with ornate engraved relief of seashells, florals and panels. Left side of blade exhibits 3 worn oval hallmarks. Top is a left profile of King's head dating it 1820-1830. Second hallmark resembles an eagle, I don't have a clue on that one. The third is the anchor for Birmingham manufacture. The outside of the piece is very good condition, while the internal spring appears to have rusted with age, although the blade moves freely. Nice for display, worth the price in silver!
