C. 1888 Gambler's card hideout device. 2.5" long, it would have clipped onto a shirt sleeve, or coat cuff to hide a card which would have been intended to be concealed. Stamped on the clip "PAT. FEB. 5, 1888". Stamped on the body "WIZARD". Some floral engraving on either side. Both clips are spring active and working. A rare and most unique item for the Gambling collector, hard to find another.
