Original circa late 19th c. wooden ball club. Constructed of one piece of solid wood, 17 1/4" in length, it exhibits honest wear and age. The ball shows uniform age cracks and minor chipping overall, worn over smooth from age, the face of the ball with an aged darker patina. The haft is smooth from age handling wear, with the very end exhibiting chipping and minor wood loss, again smooth from age handling wear. The backside of the haft with a darker patina from lying on that side with the ball pointing up. There is one incised line which goes around the base of the ball where it meets the haft. Overall condition is very good+ with natural wear that you would want to see on a piece of this age.
