Fine G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Kepi. Dark blue wool bears an embroidered age toned gold bullion GAR emblem on the front center. Complete with gold bullion chin cord across the visor, secured on each side by gold eagle buttons. The blue wool is very good+. The visor surfaces exhibit typical age crazing. The interior leather sweatband is detached in sections due to loss of stitching, but it remains present. Worn maker's present, but hard to read on inside.
Overall the kepi makes a very good appearance.
