G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Rhode Island Kepi. Bullion wreath and 14 embroidered on the front crown. Top is also embroidered with "R. I.". Matching G.A.R. brass side buttons. Complete with thin gold bullion chin strap. Black visor is very good. Condition overall is very good with no moth damage or seam separation, just a small 1/2" nip to the crown right above the "14" on the front. Inside is sturdy complete with leather sweat band. Cotton lining is present. Inside label all there with maker's stamp. This may have been for Staff as it is black. Great for display.
