This is a fine original British Army Officer's gorget. Circa 1796-1830. Brass gorget finely engraved with the royal cypher and crown of George III on the face. Lamb skin lined, brass gorget which is finely engraved with the royal cypher and crown of George III. It measures 3 1/4" across and 4 1/4" long. It is in excellent original condition overall. These would have been originally suspended by chains or ribbons.
