Envelope addressed by U. S. Grant which it was sent to J. P. Marston Esq., Bath, Maine, sent from New York. April 14, 1882. Right end was original ripped open, as well as the original stamp being removed. We know this as when it was acquired, it was disclosed to us that the seller sold the letter enclosed which was signed by U. S. Grant. Too bad it wasn't kept together.
