Irish Brigade 2nd Corps pure silver shamrock pin. Scalloped engraved edge, Irish Erin's harp engraved at the top, fancy script initials "D. M. C. C. S. / C. R. G.", above a star, at bottom edge "SALEM MASS". Pin secure on back. Fine condition overall, a stunning Corps pin from one of the most fighting units of the Civil War.  Anything associated with the Irish Brigade is highly desirable.

The Irish Brigade, 2nd Corps, indeed have men enlisted from Salem Massachusetts into the 28th Massachusetts Infantry.
