Identified/Inscribed Allen & Wheelock with original factory ivory grips. Wounded in Action "gun shot to the shoulder, shoulder blade removed", at Fredericksburg, VA 12/13/1862, Captain Francis B. Pratt, 12th Massachusetts Infantry, Co. 'C'. Francis B. Pratt was mustered out as Captain 07/08/1864, Co. 'C'.
The revolver is in very good+ condition, .100% of the cylinder scene remains, barrel markings are somewhat thin. Most of the original nickel finish remains. Very good mechanics. The 2-piece ivory grips are beautiful, left grips panel "LIEUT. F. B. PRATT".
Comes with a folder of information. Inscribed Allen & Wheelock revolvers are uncommon, plus the ivory grips. Formerly from the Norm Flayderman collection.
