Original Matthew Brady carte-de-viste photo of General George Armstrong Custer. Excellent condition overall, 2.5" X 4". Very good  clear detailed image of General Custer in uniform, in the original gold frame with original mat.  Frame measures 5" X 6".  Back of photo with original brown paper dictated in pencil "CUSTER / FEB. 15, 1864 / MATTHEW BRADY / 2 more lines that I can't decipher.  A very desirable carte-de-viste photo seldom encountered.
