A grouping of 38 documents, mostly roster documents of the famed 1st Illinois Light Artillery, company 'H', know as "DeGress Battery". The documents range from 1862 - 1865. The DeGress Battery led by Captain Francis DeGress fired the first shot at the Battle of Atlanta. All documents are in relatively very good condition overall. It is a wealth of detailed information, and is priced way below market value if sold separately.
