Civil War flap holster, likely Confederate. This holster was displayed with a Confederate Leech & Rigdon revolver when obtained. Not a U.S. regulation standard issue. The belt loop is characteristic of Confederate made holsters. The black leather is thinner than usually encountered, soft and pliable. Complete with brass finial and plug. Belt loop is thin, all stitching is tight. Small area of wear from hammer, in addition to a 1 1/4" separation on the top middle barrel area, otherwise fine. 14.5" in length. A very good example.
