Colt "Sheriff's" model, serial #103451 matching, 1896 manufacture, 5-shot.  Excellent 3.5" rifled bore. Metal shows .30% overall deep original blue on cylinder, backstrap and barrel.  The frame shows .40% rainbow hues, with the remainder a mottled brown case color.  Top of barrel 2-line Colt markings are very clear and distinct, in addition to left side of barrel "COLT. D.A. 38". Left side of frame with clear 3-line patent dates, also rampart Colt stamping. Mechanics are very good in both DA & SA. The grips have sharp checkering and exhibit light handling wear.  These "Sheriff" model Colt's have always been highly collectible.
