Original Colt 3rd model Dragoon revolver, circa 1854. .44 caliber, 6-shot revolver, serial #13764, all matching. 7 1/2" barrel with "ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY” address. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Clear “COLT’S/PATENT” stamp on left side of the frame. Metal overall is a grey patina mixed with fine salt and pepper on barrel, frame and cylinder. Excellent brass straps. Original walnut grips with light to moderate wear. Mechanics are tight. A desirable 3rd model Colt Dragoon.
