Civil War .44 caliber single-action Army Starr revolver. Desirable single-action with 6-shot, 8" barrel. Very fine condition overall. Metal overall is a smooth plum-brown age patina. Very clear frame markings both sides. This is a government issued military inspected model with sub inspector's initials on the metal components throughout. Grips exhibit light handling wear with lightly stamped clear government cartouches visible on both grips. Serial #28851, matching, top of frame stamped #28861, obviously an oversight at the factory. Tight mechanics, good action. The barrel is full-length at 8" and has the original front sight intact. This is a better than average, complete Civil War desirable single-action Army Starr revolver.
