Scarce silver early Civil War cased bleeder. Black leather covered case with decorated lid symbol. These bleeder's are usually encountered in brass, this example is more scarce being in silver, this could also date pre-Civil War. The silver bleeder is in very good overall condition with working blade and spring. The silver is lightly tarnished. The case has a hinge repair to the lid consisting of black tape. Seldom encountered.
