Early Revolutionary War side knife. Overall condition is very good+ for its age. Slightly curved 18" blade is still quite sharp. 6" wooden handle is very secure. Black leather scabbard is complete with brass throat and leather hanging belt loop. An old repair of the period of a make-shift stitched toe. Surface crackling from age. This piece has just a wonderful aged look, uncommon to encounter.
